k. Edward - Writer and Co-Director

k. Edward is the writer and co-director of Every Womxn.

k. Edward has always breathed writing. After years of finding comfort in the rhythm of spoken word, she self-published her debut narrative nonfiction: "Five Nincompoops, The Princess and One Saviour: How It All Went Down,” the story of a woman who oscillates between trying to find her one true love and still maintain her spiritual relationship with God. k did a brief book tour and found herself holding court on such topics as The Importance of a Kiss to Being your Best Self. She's even hosted a pseudo talk show via Facebook entitled ksayswhat.

In 2017 k partnered with her then 13 year old son, Saadiq Wicks to co-author the children's book "When Oliver Speaks” and to help manage his non-profit Lllet Me Finish, an organization dedicated to supporting children who stutter. After almost 3 years k reinvented herself as a playwright as her monologue production “Vaginalution...It Starts With Self” debuted in October 2019.

Most recently, k. Edward has become a screenwriter, creating the series “Every Womxn,” after a personal heartbreak. She finds that her writing is sometimes a healing process, and sometimes she finds herself in triage, but that “either way Every Womxn has to be told so that women...all women understand that regardless of ethnicity, culture and tradition, that our stories are similar and our hurts are shared.”
